Forest Echoes

At the heart of this collection is lacquer sap, slowly nurtured by nature and time. Applied by hand in successive layers, it merges with a precious metal base, while thin mother-of-pearl is set into the warm lacquer surface. Following a Chinese lacquer tradition passed down for four thousand years, each piece is repeatedly coated, dried and polished until the breath of lacquered wood from the forest resonates at the fingertip.
